Description

Granier stands as the pinnacle of the northern region of Chartreuse, towering at an altitude of 1933 meters. It offers an exceptional view of the Chambéry gap, the Bauges massif, Mont Blanc, and other peaks of the Chartreuse range. This loop hike allows you to reach the summit via the Pas des Barres, a fissure equipped with cables and ladders that cross the cliff, and descend through the Balme à Colon, a cave that goes under the mountain. It is a sporty and aerial hike, reserved for experienced hikers who are not susceptible to vertigo.

Alice

Lovely hike with a magnificent view of the lake. The trail is well-marked and not too challenging. Highly recommended!

Bob

Pleasant hike but a bit monotonous. The lake is beautiful, but there's not much variety in the landscapes. The path is sometimes crowded with bicycles.

Charlie

Superb hike! The lake is splendid, and the route is diverse and interesting. You pass by viewpoints, villages, chapels, waterfalls... Plenty to enjoy!
